The Festival of Looking
Working in conjunction with Urban Room Folkestone and curator Georgie Scott, I devised a programme of different workshops and events that culminated in The Festival of Looking, a weekend-long event that encouraged the residents of the coastal town of Folkestone, to engage with their urban environment and its geographic context on a more critical level. Working with other local organisations, the festival also became an umbrella for other events and projects that were happening / concluding across that same weekend.

Using a series of forgotten place-markers and overlooked features of East Folkestone, we selected three Stage01 students from the BA Interior Architecture and Design course at UCA, to create a publication and guided walk that explored the potential for urban renewal and community engagement.
